Welcome to GKCMPA for the 2008-09 school year! As GKCMPA president for 2008-2009, I welcome you to the Greater Kansas City Missouri Principals Association (GKCMPA), the regional organization of the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP). We welcome all Greater Kansas City area middle and high school principals, assistant principals, associate principals, aspiring or intern administrators, retired administrators and university professors of teacher education and administrative programs. Our organization provides middle and high school administrators an outstanding networking opportunity with regional and state members as well as current, relevant professional development opportunities at each of our meeting events. We also provide scholarships to aspiring administrators. Each year we celebrate professional accomplishments by recognizing a Principal of the Year, Assistant Principal of the Year, and Consummate Professional as well as each of our retirees and “rookie” first-year administrators. I would like to invite you to participate in our regional meetings and encourage you to become an active member. We encourage your school district to be recognized this year as a “100% Participation District”! Achieve this honor by GKCMPA membership of all middle and high school administrators in your district!
