Greater Kansas City Missouri principals Association is a member-driven organization committed to serving area administrators as they serve our children and families. President: Ms. Janette Cooley, Principal of Pleasant Lea Middle School, Lee’s Summit School District. As a life-long resident of Lee’s Summit, Janette was born and raised in the community, attended Pleasant Lea Middle School as a student and graduated from Lee’s Summit High School. She is currently in her 16th year in education, all of which have been served in the Lee’s Summit School District. Janette has her bachelor’s degree in English education and her master’s degree in administration. Both degrees come from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. President-Elect: Mr. Mitch Pycior, Assistant Principal of Summit Ridge Academy in the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District.. Past President: Dr. Robert Vogelaar, Assistant Superintendent Liberty Public Schools. Secretary: Ms. Deborah Miller has 12 years experience in education, all in the Park Hill School District. She began as a teacher for students with emotional disorders at the district’s day treatment program before transferring to become a counselor at Park Hill High School. She is currently an assistant principal at Park Hill High School. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia and both her masters and educational specialist degrees from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. She is currently completing her doctorate at the University of Missouri – Columbia. Treasurer: Dr. Mike Brown, Principal of Plaza Middle School, Park Hill School District. Dr. Brown is in his third year as principal of Plaza Middle School. Prior to this he was an assistant principal on the high school level also in the Park Hill School District. Member At-Large: Ms. Jaime Sadich, Assistant Principal at Raytown High School in the Raytown C-2 School District.Member At-Large: Mrs. Kim Fritchie has served as assistant principal at Pleasant Lea Middle School since 1995. She has 28 years service to the Lee's Summit School District, 12 as a high school English and Journalism teacher and 16 as an administrator. She is a past president of GKCMPA, and was the recipient of the Assistant Principal of the Year Award in 2003. Kim earned three degrees from CMSU: a BS in 1980, a MS in Administration in 1993, and an Education Specialist in Administration in 2003. She is committed to GKCMPA and looks forward to helping it grow while providing excellent service to its members. Communications: Dr. David Carlson, Assistant Principal at Bernard C. Campbell Middle School in the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District.MASSP District Representative: Dr. John Faulkenberry, Principal of Lee’s Summit High School in the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District. John has served as the Kansas City District representative to MASSP since 2006. |
